Managing Change

Organizational Change Management

Managing the change associated with a large initiative, such as implementing a new industry-specific ERP system, can seem like a complex and daunting task. When working with et alia’s Organizational Change Management (OCM) consultants, you can be sure that your company is fully engaged in the process, and that the initiative is done with your employees, not to them.

et alia’s OCM approach is modeled after SAP’s OCM, and other applicable organizational transformation best practices, and is designed to minimize the initial performance gap as employees learn to use new tools and processes. et alia’s OCM consultant works attentively with your company to prepare and guide the client OCM team throughout the implementation lifecycle, paying special attention to the three components of a successful implementation: system readiness, data readiness, and people readiness. This is accomplished by focusing on four key elements:

  • Organizational Alignment: Includes pulse checks with organization leaders and other key influencers to understand potential change readiness gaps/opportunities (potential risks, rewards, barriers, and facilitators) to acceptance.
  • Workforce Transition: Analysis of end-user work and job role impacts conducted at both a macro and micro level, helping identify communication and training requirements. Also assist in security role assignments to match process responsibilities.
  • Communications: Strategy based on SAP OCM adoption curve concept, constructing messages and vehicles along four campaigns: awareness, understanding/acceptance, adoption, and follow-up. Initial messages are broad in scope, and as the project progresses, more detailed, targeted messages are directed to specific audiences.
  • End User Training: Strategy based on train-the-trainer methodology, where knowledge transfer occurs from CREW implementation team to client core implementation team, then from client core implementation team to business owners and end users. End user training materials are developed by the client, leveraging content supplied by the CREW solution.
